Sanaya Irani is one of the most popular face in Indian Television Shows. She gained huge popularity as Khushi Kumari Gupta in Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon. Sanaya started her career as a model, did a lot of advertisements and had her debut with Jagjeet Singh's gazal Tumko Dekha To Ye Khayal aya. She had also hosted the Dance Tv show Zara Nachke Dikha season 2 and has appeared in serials like Radha ki Betiyaan kuch kar dikhaingi on NDTV Imagine, Miley Jab Ham Tum on STAR One, Iss pyar ko Kya naam Doon. Sanaya Irani has won the ITA Face of the year Award in 2008 and was nominated for New Talent Awards Best Actress in 2009. She won Superhit Star Female TV Fiction at Big Star Young Entertainer Awards 2012. After getting huge popularity through her last show IPKKND, she became the contestant of the first ever Cookery based reality show of Indian Television industry and through the show "welcome baazi mehmaan nawazi ki". Now she is slotted to play the main lead in Optimystix's new show for Sony TV.

Sanaya Irani was born on 17th September 1983 in Mumbai. She was born and brought up in Mumbai and did her schooling from Ooty. She did modelling for quite some time and after her skimp with modeling she entered acting, where she got to act a famous role as Kajol's friend in the movie Fanaa (2006). Sanaya has got high recognition as simple, next door girl's role Gunjan in Miley Jam Hum Tum, a show based on college romance, very different from the glamorous role which she played in Radha ki Betiyaan kuch kar dikhaingi on NDTV Imagine. She got fame and success through her last show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon on star Plus. Currently, she is working in a TV serial Chhanchhan, which is an Indian comedy drama.

Sanaya Irani is potraying the title role of a dog trainer in her new show, "Chhanchhan". She agrees to do the show as she felt that the character bore quite a few similarities with her in her real life. Chhanchhan is an Indian TV series which premiered on 25 March, 2013 and airs on Sony Entertainment Television. The show is said to be partially inspired from the Bollywood film Khubsoorat which was released in 1980 and starred Rekha in the lead role. Chhanchhan is a sensible, confident and cheerful girl who has a modern outlook. She is a beautiful and vivacious girl who is by profession a dog trainer. She is a free-spirited independent young woman, modern in her thought but still deeply rooted in her culture. She stands up for what is right and raises her voice against all that's wrong.

Sanaya Irani, who was last seen in Star Plus popular serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, is one of the contestant of the show and she joined and showed her cooking skills to her fans. Life OK cookery based reality show, where the audience witnessed celebs visiting each others home and giving their vote for their cooking. The show is hosted by Ram Kapoor.
When asked her about her cooking and show Sanaya says she is a horrible cook, "I don't know how to cook at all. I can't cook to save my life, but the whole point was not about the cooking, it was about the eating. I know I will have to cook for 1 day, but I will get to eat for the other 5 days".

She appeared in various advertisements for companies such as Airtel, Reliance, and Pepsi in her early career, working with Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Priyanka Chopra in some instances. She made her performing debut with Jagjit Singh's song "Tumko Dekha To Yeh" before appearing in other music videos. She began her acting career with the movie Fanaa in 2006. Currently, Sanaya is playing the role of a vivacious and modern girl in Optimystix's new show Chhan Chhan on Sony TV. The show is loosely based on the Hindi movie Khubsoorat.
