Aamani (born 16 November 1973) is an Indian film actress, in Telugu cinema.[1] She first appeared as actress in a lead role opposite Naresh in the film Jamba Lakidi Pamba, directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana. The film turned out to be a blockbuster.
She was starred in the film Mister Pellam directed by Bapu, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. Her performance in this film was honored with the Nandi Award for Best Actress.
She was born into a Telugu family and has a brother. She is married to Tamil film producer Hazrath. She started her career doing small roles in films like Aadadhi. Subsequently, she was paired as the lead actress opposite actors like Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Krishna, Jagapathi Babu and Kamal Haasan. She won the Nandi Award for Best Actress for the second time for her performance in Subha Sankalpam. After a hiatus of many years, she appeared in the film Aa Naluguru.[2]
She acted with famous stars in Tollywood like Nagarjuna in Gharana Bullodu, Balakrishna in Vamsaanikokkadu, Krishna in Pachani Samsaaram and Amma donga, Kamal Haasan in Subha Sankalpam, Jagapathi Babu in many more films(Subhalagnam, Maavichiguru... etc.,).

Telugu -Tamil actress Roja Selvamani has been a very close friend of Amani and has been with her in her tough times. In Subha Lagnam, Roja offered her help to hairdress Amani for most of the movie shot in the outdoor helping Amani's costume and looks. Amani has always been mentioning Roja's help in her turn around.
Aamani married Tamil film producer Hazrath. After marriage she kept full stop for acting.
After a hiatus of many years, she appeared in the film Aa Naluguru pairing with Rajendra Prasad. In this film, she acts as a lady who is torn between the love for her husband and her children.
Aamani was facing the legal hurdles in domestic violence and dowry case for harassing her brother Srinivas’s wife Shashi Kala. After repeated calls from local court, Aamani and her husband Hazrath attended before the judge.
